PRESS RELEASE:
Today’s protest outside Barlinnie Prison is calling for the immediate release of Mr Singh from his draconian 72 Day jail sentence for defying Glasgow City Council to have the March and rally for Scottish Independence at 1.30 pm in the afternoon In May 2019 which attracted over 100,000 people allowing those people from the Highlands and Islands and the South of Scotland the time to get to Glasgow For the March instead of following the late imposition of a 11.30 am start by Glasgow City Council.
To impose the above jail sentence is an abuse of his human rights and seriously brings into question the increasing quashing of civil liberties of freedom to assemble and protest in our so-called democratic society. Mr Mandeep Singh is an important founder of the grassroots YES Movement in Scotland and we want his immediate release from prison as he is not a criminal but a person who showed courage which he Is now being unfairly punished for.
I can be contacted on 07761101504 for more information.
