Alba Party Female Candidates 58 images Created 2 May 2021

Edinburgh, Scotland, UK. 2 May 2021.
PICTURED:
ALBA's Women candidates will gather outside the Scottish Parliament for a socially distanced group photograph tomorrow to highlight the ALBA Women and Equalities policy. (Sunday 2nd May) at 12:45 pm.
Speaking prior to the event Tasmina Ahmed Sheikh said:
“For too long women's voices have been silenced and sidelined. ALBA are making it loud and clear that we will always stand up for women's sex based rights and that women and girls will always be respected by ALBA.

"Through this event and the release of the video 'ALBA Women Rising' ALBA women are taking centre stage in the remaining days of the Election campaign.

"We are coming together as Women Candidates to proclaim Women's sex based rights in Scotland. We are urging Women across Scotland to vote for ALBA on the list as the best way of 'shaking up' the Scottish Parliament and protecting the rights of women and girls.

As more and more women recognise ALBA as the custodians of Women's rights in this Election so ALBA will rise between now and polling day."

ENDS

ALBA WOMEN MARCH TO CENTRE STAGE OF ELECTION
