The ridge has just turned 50 years old, being the business bridge road crossing in Europe with a daily number of over 120,000 vehicles using its 10 lanes of carriageway. During the sunup to COP26 some lanes are being closed in the evening to facilitate much needed work in order to prepare the city for the Climate Change Conference.
