The streets were lined with well wishers some seen waving Union Jack flags and people taking pictures on their camera phones. Charles and Camilla then departed by the royal helicopter.<br />

  • 45th President of the United States, Donald Trump flies on on his Presidential Airforce One jumbo jet into Prestwick International Airport for his Scottish leg of his state visit.  He met the Queen and the Prime Minister today before jetting into Prestwick.  Seen is the motorcade which is en route to his golf resort, Trump Turnberry, where he will play golf over the weekend before jetting out on Sunday to meet the Russian President, Vladimir Putin.  The state visit has been marred by masses of protestors all around the UK who don't want the president on UK soil because of his many controversial  political stances.

The hustings in Perth is the latest in a series of events around the UK which see the two candidates make a speech to local members before taking questions from a host and the audience.<br />
<br />
Party members should receive their ballots in the coming days, with the winner to be announced on 23 July.

Crowds line the royal mile to pay their respects to the late Queen Elizabeth II, as King Charles III walks behind the coffin cortege as it travels up the royal mile from The Palace of Holyroodhouse to St Gile’s Cathedral where Queen Elizabeth II body will lie in rest for 24 hours. Queen Elizabeth II who died last week on Thursday 8 September 2022, at Balmoral Castle, Scotland, is succeeded by her eldest son, His Royal Highness King Charles III. Elizabeth Alexandra Mary Windsor was born in Mayfair, London on 21 April 1926. In 1947 Her Majesty The Queen married Prince Philip and became Queen after the death of her Father, King George VI in 1952.<br />
