Holiday and tour operator TUI has warned customers to check information before travel which could affect scheduled flights due to Unite Union which has 1,000 members of staff involved in the walkouts, including check-in staff and baggage handlers. Affected airports currently include Glasgow, Birmingham, Gatwick, and Luton airports, of which TUI currently hold a large number of slots. Yesterday, 18 July, nearly 600 DHL workers on the Gatwick EasyJet contract suspended industrial action following an improved pay offer.
