Blackness, UK. 7 April 2020.
Pictured: April’s Supermoon rises over the east coast of Scotland into the evening sky and will appear larger in the night sky than any other moon this year.
This evening’s Moon will be at its maximum brightness in the very early hours of Wednesday 8th April, at which time the Moon will be near to its perigee — or the point in its orbit that it is closest to Earth. This proximity will provide the largest appearance of the Moon for the whole year, commonly called a Supermoon. Credit: Colin D Fisher/CDFIMAGES.COM
