Erskine, Glasgow, Scotland, UK. 21 September 2021
PICTURED: Erskine Bridge. As Glasgow gears up for COP26 the 50 year old bridge will see a spike in traffic as planned road closures in the city are expected. At 1.3km in length & 30m wide, with its tallest support measuring 50m its a major important crossing becoming the first fixed link between Dunbartonshire and Renfrewshire.
Construction on the project began in April 1967 at a cost of £10.5m, which is the equivalent of almost £150m today.
