Glasgow, UK. 24 September 2019.
PICTURED: A Thomas Cook Airbus A330-200 Aircraft stands empty and grounded on the tarmac at Glasgow Airport, whilst an all white Airbus A340-300 aircraft flying for Hi Fly, prepares to fly to Tenerife to pick up more stranded passengers under Operation Matterhorn.
Glasgow Airport Authority have placed 2 notices taped to the 2nd forward port side passenger door on the grounded Thomas Cook Airbus A330, advising that the aircraft is grounded and detained due to unpaid fees. A huge snow plough stands underneath and behind the jet to prevent the aircraft from being pushed back from its position.
