Since March, all flights in and out of the UK were grounded the UK went into lockdown following a sharp rise in coronavirus cases in Europe.
On July 6, many flights resumed, although the Foreign Commonwealth Office advised travel only where absolutely necessary.
According to new terms currently being drafted between the British Airline Pilots' Association (BALPA) and British Airways, captains and first officers placed in the pool will remain on half-pay until they are needed again. Credit: Colin D Fisher/CDFIMAGES.COM
